I hold a Ph.D. in finance and an M.B.A. with a concentration in analytical finance from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, as well as a J.D. from the University of Chicago Law School. I have over thirty years of experience analyzing and estimating litigation risk. As a litigation partner at Bartlit Beck LLP (2005-2017), I spent much of my time working on behalf of hedge funds and other institutional investors in prosecuting and assessing causation and damages litigation. I have continued this work since acting as a consultant and as an expert witness on behalf of hedge funds, insurance companies, litigants, and their legal teams, focusing on the role of uncertainty in litigation.

My current consulting rates range from $600 per hour for smaller matters to $1,200 per hour for larger matters, including those where I have been retained by large consulting firms for consulting or expert testimony.​
